I would like to point out that eating an unhealthy plant-based diet was associated with an increase in the risk of pancreatic cancer, so the quality of the food matters. But if eat a mix of healthy and unhealthy plant-based foods, you do have an overall reduction of risk. Healthy plant-based foods had the lowest risk. The headline was meant to prompt thinking about how the type of vegan diet affects risk.
