Thank you for the feedback! I'm so sorry to hear about grandmother, which must have taken a terrible toll. It is such a difficult disease. In terms of the paper, yes they had 5 days of the special diet and then went on regular mouse chow. Actually, they did the same in the pilot human study--5 days of diet and then regular food. I think I get your point that just 5 days per month may not be enough in humans if the rest of the month people are eating a diet that causes inflammation. I believe their logic in the study was to make the diet as tolerable as possible so patients would be more likely to adhere to it long term. But I agree that a long term diet that can be used daily would most likely be more effective. Thanks again for sharing your thoughts and perspective.
